Power outage in the middle of Import from camera

Hi there,

I was recording an event last weekend. Camera: JVC GY-HD100 Computer: Mac Pro Connection 6 pin USB IEEE1394 Format HDV. Software: iMovie. In the middle of the recording, I had a power outage. Usually, after finishing an event in iMovie, it "processes" thumbnails. Obviously, it didn't have the opportunity to do that in this case. The data looks like it is on the drive as a a 28 GB QT file. But, I can't open or import it to iMovie of FCP or anything else I have (Tried Droplet, iTunes, Episode). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Peter

We have software that can restore media but it doesn't support HDV yet. The only other software I know of that can do this is:

My software:
Pro Maintenance Tools - Tools to keep Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro running smoothly and fix problems when they arise
Pro Media Tools - Edit QuickTime chapters and metadata, detect gamma shifts, edit markers, watch renders and more
More tools...
