Converting a VHS PALl to NTSC

A client of mine just sent me some VHS tapes from France (PAL) and I need to convert them into quicktime files. Does anyone know how I would go about doing this?

or use Natress, which is what I personally do : Nattress Conversion

first you need a PAL VHS deck.
that may be the hardest part.

then you need a computer with a capture card
any capture card will capture PAL.

if you don't have these things, then find a local tape house that can do it for you.

do you need to convert the material to NTSC?
if you only need quicktime files, then maybe not.

as your source is VHS, ill also recommend a good noise reduction plug-in i've used in FCP:
NEAT VIDEO
(i'd do this before you convert to NTSC)
