Video doesn't show in sequence

Hi,

I have a 5 minute QT video and when I double click on it, it plays fine.

However, when I import it into FCP on my Macbook pro and drag into a new sequence, only the sound shows up, not the video. I can see the video in the viewer, but not the canvas. It's black. How can I get the video to show up in the sequence?

Select the timeline and hit "w". This will toggle between view "wireframe", "image" and "image and wireframe". You can also toggle the setting in the right drop down menu located near the top of the canvas.

Also, what format is the quicktime? Open it in Quicktime player and press command j for more info.
