do omf exports just omit any audio filters?

no, the OMF takes the original file.

if you WANT the filter, then you can try NESTING the clip.
i did that years back to preserve volume graphing (before the FCP OMFs carried that)
it would probably work on filters, too...
worth doing a quick test.

That's nice to know. I usually export a reference movie with my rough mix and remove all filters before I export an omf.
