Export to QuickTime

Help! In the past I have had no problem exporting to QuickTime. Suddenly during the export process the QT mov file splits itself over a number of files, all 2.05GB in size, whereas in the past I would have 1x QT .mov file. All suggestions most welcome PLEASE. Urgent!

Are you exporting to an external drive? Is it formatted correctly? Have you got anything set under System Settings > Limit Export / capture file size to ..?

Check how the drive you're exporting to is formatted. Needs to be Mac OS Extended.

Thanks for the help; solved the problem with Jude's advice; had the System Settings>Limit Export tick box flagged (2000MB). So once again thanks. PS Newbie to FCP and this site. Really is fantastic. Thanks to Ken Stone for referring me here. From a blistering South Africa, cheers for now.
