The doc is being shot with an HVX as a main camera at 720p, and then DSLRs shooting 1080. Everything is 23.98. Except timelapse shots and other in-camera tricks.

My first intuition is make all the timelines 720p as the smaller image will make for shorter renders, and smaller files. The DP has consulted around and he tells me the consensus is 1080p, and scratch make it all good.

I put it to you my learned colleagues, what is the wisdom here.

What do you have to deliver? What are the specs required by your broadcaster/festival/whatnot?

Scratch is a color correction software, not a magic box. The resolution depends on what you have to start with and what you are outputting.
