No NTSC or 720p bars visable in Viewer

Having trouble diagnosing why my HD Bars are visible in the viewer, but not on the timeline. Also, my NTSC and 720p Bars are NOT visable in the viewer (just WhiteBG). Running FCP 6.0.6 on Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8
