Compressor for DVD

I'm using Compressor for my project to have it ready for DVDPro, but after outputting my 45min. video in full res and dropping it into Compressor, it takes aprox. 5 1/2 hrs to compress for DVD, at the 2-pass setting. This seems long...using a dual core Mac tower.

Any suggestions?

Dual proc or dual core? Is your source HD? You can probably get faster results by turning off frame controls, but that comes at the expense of quality.

Dual proc...the source is 720p/60 HD, edited in Pro Res.
