Help! Trying to uninstall Quicktime 7.7

Mistakenly updated from 'Software Updates' from Apple, and installed Quicktime 7.7. Now my FCP 6.0.6 hangs on the splashscreen. I had been running Quicktime 7.6.9 with no problem. I need help uninstalling Quicktime 7.7, and re-installing a previous version of Quicktime 7.6.4. Thanks.
