Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with FCP 6.0.6 : crash when starting

Hi,

I was using FCP 6.0.6 on my iMac installed with Mac OS X 10.6.5 (Snow Leopard). Everything was working fine.

I upgraded to the latest version of Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and now, I cannot run my FCP anymore. I get the splash screen, and after a while, the application silently crashes.

I tried to remove preferences, but nothing seems to make it work.

Anyone got the same problem ?
Any suggestion to solve this ?

I am having the exact same problem. Held off upgrading the mac os to avoid the bugs but did it today. Big mistake. FCP works for a bit then crashes. Did you ever solve your problems because I could use some solutions.

I did solve my problem : I had to completely remove FCP from my computer (all files, not only trashing the app, but also pref files, and files I found in the library). Then, I reinstalled SnowLeopard from my DVD, upgraded with a Combo, and reinstalled FCP6.

After that, I was working again !
