import text into rolling titles

I want to create the multiple lines of a vertical rolling titles in another application. (much easier that way)
I found that creating them in Photoshop works fine, EXCEPT that when copied to the title window, the CR are ignored, and all lines are bunched up together.

What application could I use where the CR would be recognized as such ?

I am using FCP 7. I dont have Motion (it's a long story), but I have MS Office and Adobe CS3.
