As a follow up to one of my most popular articles last year, we present "Anatomy of an iMac Suite." We've been giving the new 27" iMac a really good test drive during a documentary edit and it's been a very very good editorial machine.

Hey, who started all this "Anatomy" stuff anyway... ;-)

Walter this article is a public service! But I'm curious, how many hours of footage is the system serving on this project?

Best, as always,

For this particular project it started out around 27 hours of material and it's up to around 45 hours now. Most of our documentaries average 125 - 300 hours of material so this one is pretty small by our standards.

The SAN itself is 48TB that the iMac is connected to.
