Out of Memory Error

Good Afternoon All,

Trying to create a 15 minute movie using approximately 300 stills. Using a MacBook Pro Retina, 8gb ram and FCP 7. Can't render - get an "Out of Memory" error every time. All stills use default duration of 3 seconds. No fades or effects at this time. Using Pro Rez LT. any suggestions.

Any photo in the timeline of over 4000 pixels on either width, height, or both, can give you significant trouble. Check the dimensions before bringing them into FCP-- treat in Photoshop with a repeatable Action to resize them-- while maintaining whatever pixels per inch you need for special treatment, like zoom-ins.

Go to sequence settings, switch render to "8 bits YUV".
