In and Out Points - Handles

Good Morning All,

FCP 7 - Log and Transfer from SD Card - I mark all in and out points when logging and transferring but the in and out points show as media start and media end points in the browser. When I double click a clip in the timeline to bring it into the Viewer I can't change the out point (media end). So, two questions: What am I doing wrong in the log and transfer operation and why can't I change the out point (media end) in Viewer?

When you set In and Out points in Log and Transfer, you're telling FCP not to ingest anything outside of those points. So of course when your clips are created, those become the media limitations.

If you want the whole clip to be available to you in editing, don't hit any In and Out points while ingesting.
