converting three track wav file to aif

Hey all,

I have some three track wav files that need to be converted to aif for FCP. I know FCP supposedly supports wav but I have always had problems so I convert to aif. I am working on a 2x2.66 Dual Core Intel Xeon with a Kona 3 card. When I have two tracks wav files I just use itunes to convert but with three track it can't be done in itunes as far as I can see. Is there a program that can do this short of Protools? I have Soundtrack Pro but have never even looked at it. Anybody out there have any recommendations? Thank you!

well, you can put your clip into an FCP timeline,
and Export as AIFFs

i've only used this function once in 13 or so years, so i can't remember if you need to set up a separate audio output for each track or not.

but what i HAVE been doing for years is working with WAV files, without any problem that i'm aware of.

what sort of problems do you have with WAVs?

maybe its as simple as mismatched sequence settings?
