Hi all,

I'm about to discuss with a potential client editing a trailer for their feature shot on RED EPIC and it's been almost 3 years since i've participated in FCP-RED workflow.

I run OSX 10.8.2, 2.7GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 2012 Macbook Pro would I even be able to handle the rushes with this set-up?

Typically what kind of material would I expect to receive and in what format?

Cheers,
WM

trailers are sometimes edited from a finished master.
it's simpler, and cheaper that way.

of course sometimes they are cut while the film is still being edited.

what format are they editing in?
it would be simplest if you got that, wouldn't it?
along with their edit timelines.

When in doubt, test. Ask them to send you one or two clips and then edit with them to see if you have any problems.

Well the trailer may be an audition of sorts for the feature as it is still to be edited also

I'll probe for more info,
