How to tell if a clip has been used in a project sequence?

Brought onto a project which the previous editor was less than organized, a lot of it
is covering up mistakes with b-roll (stills, video). The project is many hours in length, and I'm trying to avoid
incorporating duplicate b-roll without watching the entire thing. Is there any easy way to tell if a clip in the browser has been already used in one of the sequences in the project?

Thanks

IF all the clips in the project have a working master / affiliate relationship, then yes, there is.

in the sequences, select all, and then COLOUR the clips
(option command 2~6 for the 5 clip colours, option command 1 for no colour)

the master clips in the browser will adopt the same colour.
