<HTML>please help... I am just beginning to use FCP 2 with Sony's DCR-PC5 camcorder. I am helping a community organisation put together a small presentation video, and they have been kind enough to organise us access to FCP 2 and this nice and expensive camecorder to put it all together. The problem is that I am unable to get FCP 2 to control the DCR-PC5... I get the video in the Log and Capture window, but i cannot do any batch processing or anything. FCP 2 says simply that the DV device is not connected, but I do get the video in the window!!

<HTML>Make sure device control is enabled and your camera is ON and in VTR mode PRIOR to booting up FCP. Check your settings again. Try another firewire port. Jiggle the firewire cable. Check your settings. No guessing.
