My Thunderbolt stopped working out of the blue. I believe it is a hardware issue
as I've tried various thunderbolt devices and cables and none work. Furthermore.

Within the system info – I get “Thunderbolt: No hardware was found.”

I tired resetting the pram and smc but none help.

Could a fresh install of the OS help?

Hi, Joe.

luckily i haven't had that problem,
but found this from someone who had:

"I just called up Apple and they ran me through a few processes to reset the motherboard, and it's all working now"

here's the relevant info they linked to:
[support.apple.com]

actually the help article is named "How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac"

Thanks Nick, I tried that, still not working. I'll be taking it into Apple.
