Your output will be a DVD. All DVDs are coded in mpeg2, which is based on compressing YUV. So on your DVD will be no RGB whatsoever.
If you edit in RGB, you will get quite some interestring effects, you dont want to see. "Banding" for example is a major problem in RGB space.
Even if your source is a RGB source, I suggest that you edit in YUV for two Reasons:
1. Your DVD is YUV anyway.
2. No Banding effects.
