Importing mov files into FCP

Using Final Cut Pro HD on a G4 I'm having problems importing a .mov file created using camtasia. This process (camtasia-->mov -->FCP) I've done a zillion times and imported the files into FCP on a G5 and Macbook Pro without incident. I thought my Quicktime was out of date on the G4 since I kept it offline, but updated everything and FCP rejects the files (says it cannot be recognized) when I try to import the files. These specific files import just fine into the G5 and macbook...

any ideas?

Did you install the Camtasia (Techsmith) Ensharpen codec on this computer? It's not part of the standard QT install so you (or someone) probably installed it on the other macs and it's been forgotten.

I didn't install the codec....I know for a fact I never did on the macs...is it just up on the camtasia website? thanks!
