scaling quality in 5.1

Just getting started here in FCS 5.1 and loading a project created in FCP 4.1. I get a requester box asking what quality I want use. The choices are ...fastest...normal and best. It defaults to normal. What are up and down sides to using the "best" settings? Should I just use the default of "normal"? If I select one or the other, can I change it later if I am dissatisfied with the results? Thanx Barry

The quality displayed on you computer monitor is selectable. Since the computer works very hard to display the very best by default, it is sometime best to downselect the video quality on slower systems to allow for more real time tracks of video.

Since the drop box selection can be changed at will, so can the process.

What works best depends on the computer, RAM and video card.
