Need Advice for FCP 5

Hi Guys,

Currently using FCP4.5. Most or should i say all projects have been done in SD pal, yah hiccups here and there, but whats new right?

Anyway, might be working on a long form Docu (approx 60min nature docu).
Shooting on Sony Z1P. (any one with tips or guides for shooting nature in HDV)

I have a few questions:

If i shoot in HDV which is 16x9 1080i (Sony Z1P has only 1080i), generally mastering on HDV is the way to go, but if broadcast station were to buy my program, how do i go about giving them something that can play in the 4x9 standard? since most Stations still broadcast for consumer teles?

Havent had a try at the FCP studio yet...

Thanks and if there are links where I can do more research on HDV, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
j

No broadcaster accepts HDV masters. HDV is an acquisition format only. Mastering is done to D5 and HDCAM (sometimes DVCPRO HD) for HD, and digibeta, beta SX and betaSP for SD.
