I'm looking to purchase some sound effects and music. Cany anyone suggest some good libraries?

I have a few of "The Mix" Libraires which are good but want something with longer music- like 2-5 minutes per song.

Also some good sound effects, with lots of good sounds for transitions.

Thanks!

There is a massive list of music libraries in the FAQ:

Places like [www.sounddogs.com] and [www.soundrangers.com] also have sound effects.

For a relatively inexpensive (though small) effects library, try [www.digitaljuice.com].

I use the Freeplay music that came with my Dot Mac account a lot. There was over 2 gigs of music there I don't know if it's still there but I believe they have a web site you can get it from.
You could take that stuff into Sound Track Pro and mash it up a bit as well.

i have like 850 songs i created in protools and at least 1200 more in my rs7 beat machine i dont mind letting folks use them so long as i am mentioned for credit. they are mostly trip-hop,hip-hop, r&b, pop, electronica and rock. some have words some dont. most of them dont have vocals.

inorder to pair the music to the piece i need to know what feel you need and a small clip of the movie.

Hey, Jeff, I'd like to use your songs. I have a feature film which needs a few songs. My trailer is at [www.releasing.net]

It's at the top of the page. I never found a good piece of music for the trailer for example. But inside the movie I need some songs and music as well.

So I'd be very appreciative if you let me hear some of the songs and music you've created. I'll give you credit in the movie of course.

I wonder if sometime in the last 4.5 years these people were able to secure music for their production?
