I have some footage that i need to multicam but the frame rates are different. It was a mixed HVX/DVX shoot and the DVX 24pA footage was not captured properly and now im stuck with out the tape and only the file. How do i remove that pull down with out capturing on the fly?

Thanks...

Remove the pulldown with either Cinema Tools or the Reverse pulldown removal in FCPs TOOLS menu.

Fantastic, I kept trying to export from FCP to get rid of the pulldown to no avail, Compressor just blended and i guess my settings we're wrong in Shake because the test came out super interlace-ey. I didn;t even think to look in the tools menu, that would be too obvious.

I couldn't get this to work with HDV shot with an HVR-Z1. As far as I understand it, the Z1 doesn't do "true" 24p but it still shoots in 24 frames and uses a 2:3:2:3 pulldown to convert it to an interlace scan 30 fps. Cinema Tools is designed to remove 2:3:3:2, and it needs the pulldown flag that is embedded into true 24p signals. Does anybody know if there's a way to remove the pulldown embedded in the CineFrame 24 that the Z1 uses?

No, I know for a fact Cinema Tools can do either 2:3 or 2:3:3:2 pulldown removal. Perhaps it's the HDV format it's having trouble with.

That might be. All I know is that it won't do it. The first time I tried it I noticed an error message that said it was looking for dvcpro material, so I exported the file as a dvcpro file. It actually went as far as opening cinema tools that time and I was able to do a reverse telecine, but still couldn't remove the pulldown. I think it's looking for a flag that's not there. Why it needed DVCPro material is beyond me.
