Tonight was the first time I've had this problem and wondering what's up.
I have a Mackie Control Universal (MIDI device) attached to the system described below.
In playing a sequence, I adjust an audio level, and about half a second later, sound stops (play continues, but no sound). Sound resumes if I hit stop, then play.
The same occures if I use FCP's internal mixer.
Files in this case were DVCPro NTSC, but it also did the same in a HD project.
Setup: 2 X 3Ghz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
8 Gig Ram
OSX 10.4.8
KONA LH Card
Audio is monitored thru the Kona Card and I can't see anything amiss in it's setup.
This problem occures listening both thru th Kona card as well as the MacPro's line out, so I've kinda ruled out the Kona.
Not a show stopper, buy annoying.
Anyone got an idea?
