Yeah. I pulled the two originals out to be replaced by the two new ones.

Just got an RMA # for the replacements. When those arrive I'll add them to the new ones for a total of 4.5 GB RAM.

(the .5 being the original Apple RAM)

<<<Just remember that ram sticks need to be installed in pairs. >>>

And that the forum is a dialog. Drop in every so often. You're going to find people who know less than you do no matter what level you are. Help them.

I always deinterlace before making a quicktime (SP) for DVD burning and it always looks great. Phil

I've been offering my two cents in areas that are a little less FCP and a little more general. But after this experience I actually DO feel a little more qualified to offer advice . . .

Like: "Sounds like RAM, better run the Hardware Test on your OS install disk."

Yeah, that sounds pretty good . . .

*** QUESTION FOR PHIL ***

What do you mean by "deinterlace before making a quicktime (SP) for DVD burning?"

I've been using the de-interlace filter during editing to give my video a "film-like" look. (I bought the Nattress filters, but haven't learned them yet.) Is what you're talking about related?
