What does FCP2 hold for HDV users?

Some of us do have HDV cams, though the format has been debated continually.

The information on the FCP upgrade is flowing all over. I wonder if anyone here has an overview of the features that will impact HDV users (Z1s for instance.)

How might ProRes help HDV users work better with color?
Will FCP2 have an HDV software convert that works better with firewire?
I read something about FCP2 allowing HdV to be monitored as DV via firewire through a deck. That would be interesting.

As we all know, importing, editing, compositing, exporting, compressing etc. in HDV can be a challenge. What does FCP2 bring to make it easier?

I'm really looking forward to being able to monitor HDV via DV-Firewire...

I read something about being able to bring in HDV and edit in ProRes, but I'm not sure on the details. I'm still curious how fast the multi-format timeline will be able to work.

Basically the pro res codec target audience is HDV users I would think. The downside is it is about 5 times the size of HDV.
