Can anyone tell me where I can get a nice standard countdown to insert into my FCP sequence? I have FCP 3.0, I don't know if later versions include a countdown.

the only stock countdowns in fcp are all really REALLY fruity. there are several more "acceptable" ones at istockphoto.com for $5 to $10

Just be carefull of the frame rate of the leaders. If it an old style smpte leader they should be at 24 fps. You may have to add pulldown to bring it 30. Make sure a second is a second.

Thanks, Peter. How do I add pulldown in FCP? I have heard the term used, but have never had to deal with it directly.

I believe Graeme Nattress (ww.nattress.com) has a plugin for FCP that will do pulldown insertion. Otherwise I would use After EFX, Shake. Maybe motion will do this I'm not sure. What format and frame rate is your project at? I have some countdowns here I could maybe set you up with.

Hi, Peter:

I am doing it at 29.97, mini DV. I could use After Effects, I suppose...I just didn't want to purchase something and then have to do a pulldown on it as well. Thanks for the Nattress reference.
