Hi, How do I capture video from a camcorder Sony Hi8 CCDTRV138 into FCP? What kind of interface do I need to get ?

You need some sort of analog to digital converter. Most all DV cameras have that capability, but other than that you will need to buy a $100+ converter. Capture as non controlled over firewire and you get no timecode.

is it ADVC 110 ? I bought one from eBay and works okay
mine is made by Pinnacle
do a search for it on eBay
or do a search on Google for:
analog to digital converter
