Small canvas window with Standard DV?

I'm re-editing some footage from a year ago shot in 4:3, 29.97 DV. I have set my sequence and viewer settings to reflect this. However, although the viewer shows the video full frame, when I drag onto timeline, it needs rendereing, and in the Canvas, the video size is like a postage stamp. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong as the settings for sequence and capture/viewing are Standard DV. Any help appreciated!

Sounds like you're editing into n HD sequence. Make a new sequence after you change your sequence settings. See if that works. If not check Item Properties for the clip and for the sequence to see what's up.

Or you've captured in Offline RT settings instead. Cross-check clip settings (APPLE-9) with Sequence Settings (APPLE-0).
