put them all on a timeline and select them all them right-click and set a new duration of 3:00

Drop them on a timeline, select all, right click on one and choose 'duration'. Change the dunation to 3 seconds. They will all ripple down to 3 seconds each.

Make a new folder in the browser, then drag all the clips from the timeline to the folder. This will put all the 3 second versions in a single folder. Delete the originals if you like.

Actually "Dunation" refers to the mythical city of "DU" whose liberal inhabitants called themselves "The Dunation"

It's true.

So basically you are both saying that Corbett should reduce the life-span of the DUs to less than a third and to be less charitable?

Set up in the "user preferences" Still/Freeze Duration to 3 sec then reimport all stills in your project.

Regarding "user preferences" Still/Freeze Duration, does anyone have a solution to why regardless of how long or how short a duration I choose, it always defaults to 2 minutes 10 secs.

yep, that what he saying, ben.

maybe this should be a feature request. i should be able to change the duration of stills while they are in the bin. goes right along with individual window/browser controls.

Something wrong with your system, by the sounds of it Matthew. The defualt is actually 12 seconds, I think. Trash preferences?

J.Corbett - you can change the duration in the bin, just if you want to change hundreds at once you can either plan ahead and bring them in at the correct length, or do the sequence change.

Dunation is a giving opportunity set up by Frank Herbert for his favorite planet.
