can not set gamma on 3d studio avis!

Although I can set the gamma for mov's; my demo which was brought in
from 3ds Studio Max as uncompressed avis into FCP 4.5 and then I upgraded to
FCP Studio 2.

I can not find a way to change the gamma (which is now set wrong by FCP Studio 2)
for my 95% Avi production.

Any ideas.

I am not thrilled about having to convert my uncompressed avis into mov for the demo
as they worked great in FCP 4.5 HD.
