Animating tracking in Live Type - keyframes?

Hi,

I was trying to animate a title card in Live Type, to start out with tracking = 100, and end with tracking = 150.

I can do this fine in FCP, but we need to do it in LT instead (producer request.)

So, I have the font set up in the timeline, but can't seem to get LT to let me enter keyframes for tracking. Tracking seems to be finite. And the keyframe option is greyed out in the drop down menu... alxo, control+k doesn't seem to do anything...

Ideas?

I did a search elsewhere o the forum, and also checked out the LT tutorial before posting this....

thanks!

Have you tried using a standard effect? You can add an effect to a track in LT with the track menu. Click on the start keyframe and in the Effects tab add a parameter to animate. Double click on the parameter and enter a value. In the effects track of the timeline click on the end keyframe and then in the effects tab double click on the parameter to change its value.

Hi,

Well, the standard effects don't have the (simple) stretch effect I'm looking for... where the letters spread out horizontally over time (the name for that escapes me...)

It's easy to do in FCP, but I don't see the path / how to do it in LT....

thanks for helping....
