How reverse telecine? ie - firestore messed up my clips

hey all

Shooting 720p 23.98 on the HVX to firestore.

got a firestore from the shooter today, and all of the video is longer than the audio, which drifts more and more out of synch.

if i bring the offending clips in FCP, and apply a 25% speed ramp to the video, the video and audio line up. This makes me think that somehow the pulldown got messed up and i need to do a reverse telecine on the footage to remove those extra frames.

Does this sound right?

I am having trouble getting Cinema Tools or FCP to do this, because the footage is identified as 23.98, not an ntsc framerate.

Any help?
