Getting rid of Background Process window after deselecting Smooth Cam?

My boss tried using the Smooth Cam filter on some clips and since it was taking so long to render just a few short clips, he decided not to use the filter. The problem is, after deselecting the Smooth Cam, the Background Processes window still keeps popping. How can we get it running back to normal.
