Insert editing wrong field

I trying to do a insert edit using the "Sony 29.97 A" machine control and I'm inserting on a Sony dvw-500 digibeta. Every time I try to insert I'm a field off. Does anybody know how to fix this problem. I'm working in 525 NTSC.

Sony machines often have a way to set which field is the edit in field in the menus. I don't have access to a machine or manual at the moment, but look for something called Edit Field, or similar name.
