Export to DVCpro and BetaSPPosted by Logan6
My source material is DVCPro50 in 30p. What's the best way to render this movie out of my DVCPro50 timeline and transfer this material to a Mini DV tape?
My record deck is my camera. Does it matter which camera I use (all have 1394).. A old Gl1, DVX100 and an HVX200. (Post house to take MiniDV and dump to BetaSP, DVCPro tapes, etc.) Thanks. FCP 6. Dual G5.
Export a QT movie...either self contained or reference. Re-import that and drop it into a DV/NTSC timeline...render...output to tape.
Or copy and paste your sequence into a DV sequence, and render. www.shanerosseditor.com Listen to THE EDIT BAY Podcast on iTunes [itunes.apple.com]
Well, to do that you'd have to choose QT CONVERSION. That might work fine.

I don't know. And where do I see that "Always render in RGB or Cr,Yb, Cb thing. Should I be rendering in Cr, Yb, Cb and outputting interlaced 60i (for those TV folk)? Sorry I'm a novice when it comes to prepping for broadcast.
oh. and does it matter if I tape using my older GL1? or should I use a newer progressive camera like a DVX or HVX? thanks again.

CLick on the timeline and press APPLE-0...or go to the SEQUENCE menu and choose SETTINGS. Click on the VIDEO PROCESSING tab. It should be set to 8-bit YUV. >Should I be > rendering in Cr, Yb, Cb and outputting interlaced > 60i (for those TV folk)? Sorry I'm a novice when > it comes to prepping for broadcast. No...YUV. No. The GLq is a fine camera. Why do you need a progressive camera? > > > thanks again. www.shanerosseditor.com Listen to THE EDIT BAY Podcast on iTunes [itunes.apple.com]
