Split track quicktimes?

Split track quicktimes?

I'm full of fun questions today. If I have a digibeta with stereo mix audio, and a DA-88 with my split tracks, is there a way to meld them together in Final Cut? I'd love to sync my split-track audio up to my picture (replacing the stereo mix audio with a 4 channel split), and meld that into a new split track master clip that I can work from.

I don't ever recall seeing Quicktime handling more than 2 channels of audio. But is there a way to get FCP to make a new master clip with audio from one source and picture from another?

"Merge Clips" is the answer.
There's two ways to do it but if you look it up here and in the manual you'll find what you need.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for!
