Hi all,

Budget is an issue for my newly created production company.
So I know that a MBP would be best but could a MB do the job? Will I be frustrated with endless rendering time, slow performances or impossibility to do specific tasks?

I intend on cutting wedding videos, music videos, actors' reels.

I'm aware of screen resolution and graphic card differences.... but I would love to hear from you guys.

It will work but Motion and Color will slow way down for you. Look for a refurbished Macbook Pro before purchasing a macbook though. Will ultimately make you happier.

I would rather spend a little extra $$$ on superior machine than languish in regret when the machine hangs on intensive tasks. will pay for it in the first few gigs and you can write it off your taxes. I would go with a loaded Macbook Pro.

When life gives you dilemmas...make dilemmanade.

You may save a few hundred $$ in the beginning, but the slow render times and generally slower performance will start costing you in the end.
