Output 4x3 footage in my 1080i 59.94 project

I'm doing a match edit with my original footage as 1080i 59.94. I also input 4x3 footage and I did a match edit with the 1080i footage on video 1 and the 4x3 footage on video 2. When I try to play back the 4x3 footage it looks noise like its being upressed. How do I get my sequence to playback the 4x3 footage and look correct. I can delete the video 1 which holds my 1080i footage and only have a seq with the 4x3 footage and audio from my 1080i.
Any sugguestions.

It is being uprezzed. 4:3 is MUCH smaller than 1080.

You need to change your sequence settings to match the 4:3 footage. Probably the easiset way to do this is to make a new sequence, set it up to be 4:3, then copy and paste the entire timeline from your old version to the new.

You may need to adjust some aspect ratios under the Motion > distort tab, depending on your project setup and your FCP version.

In fact there would be an easier way if you were on FCP 6 or better. What version are you on?
