using video from sony still camera

Sometimes I shoot movies on my sony DSC-1. When I import the MPG into FCP6 it does not keep the audio. I have opened this with quicktime and tried saving it as a movie, but the audio does not seem to link to the movie.

Any suggestions on importing this to FCP6?
