shooting 25p gets interlaced

Hi all.
There is one thing I wonder about.
When I shoot dvcpro 50 25p and bring those clips in fcp, it gets interpreted as lower fields.
The same thing if I import a clip into After Effects.
I thought shooting 25p was progressive and not interlaced. Why is that?
How should I make my workflow for progressive output in fcp?

It gets interlaced as it records to tape. In sequence settings, set field dominance to "none" then click on the "advanced" button and change your compressor to "Progressive".

Ok, I´m actually recording on P2 cards but I guess the same thing happens then.

No, not the same. I have not used P2 cards so someone else will have to chime in. I don't believe those get interlaced as they record as it's data, not a video stream per se.
