EDL Film project 24@25
February 19, 2008 05:25AM
Hello.

I am editing a project shoot on 35mm 24f/s
To work in final cut we did a conformed version on cinema tools
wich is called 24@25.
The question is: do we have to reverse this material back in 25f/s?

If I understand it wright, to cut the negative I must do a cinema tools film list
otherwise, with an edl I do not have the key-codes but only time-code...

Thanks a lot
I hope that does not sound like a total lost cutter

a little bit smiling smiley

this really depends on your neg matcher.
some don't want a cut list,
they will make their own from an EDL.

talk to your neg matcher, tell them your workflow,
and see what they ask for.

however, to create an accurate EDL you do have to set your clips and sequnces to the TC Rate of 24@25.
for what it's worth, you can do this after you have edited everything (if for some reason you forgot to set it originally).
pull up the TC Rate column in the browser to check.

hope that clears thing up a little,
nick
