Hey Guys,

I have some footage shot on the pannasonic hpx-3000.

The footage was shot on 24p, the p2 data brought in to FCP 6 is DVCPro 60.
I was told the camera is strictly 24p but the footage is comming in interlaced.

I think the tech on set imported the footage with an advanced pulldowon remocal, only speculation, if so is there any way to get those frames back without the original p2 data. Or are my sequence setting incorrect, what shoudl they be?

If at first you don't succeed, keep ****ing it up 'till it works!

There's a whole lot of technical info we are missing here...24p on a camera like the HPX doesnt mean a whole lot as there are probably 6 24p settings. The camera can shoot in a standard 3:2 interlaced setting, it can shoot in a 24pA setting which pulls down nicely to a native 23.98 timeline during p2 import(if settings are enabled) or it shoots 24pN in which the camera does the pull down internally and records at 23.98 natively. Check out the clip info and see if its a 23.98 or 30 or 60. If they didnt do the pulldown properly, sometimes, depending on the amount of footage, Advanced Format conversion in Compressor can do a pretty decent job of getting you to the format you need...
