QUICKTIME 7.4.5 Out now

Apple have released QT 7.4.5

Go to your Software update or download from [www.apple.com]

Unfortunately it still doesn't fix the visual tearing/shearing issue in Quicktime Player on Leopard when in fullscreen on 30" Displays in full screen 2560x1600...

Looks to be no more than a bunch of security fixes, and of course the "enhance reliability, improve compatibility with third-party applications" fixes. Love those.

I am having a problem with FCP 6.0.2 unexpectedly quiting on my new 2.8ghz Macpro. It's doing it in the log and transfer window while sorting through P2 footage from an internal SATA drive. (OSX 10.5.2 with 8GB of RAM)

I thought it could be a QT 7.4.1 problem so I just tried updating to 7.4.5 and guess what??? It still crashes...

repairing permissions and trashing prefs doesn't help either.

I have a bit of a problem. I hope you can help. We have a video due to the client tomorrow. We shot on the Panasonic HVX 200. The dimensions of the piece are 1920/1080. The footage is 1080i. It's codec dvcpro 1080i 60. When we export the file to Quicktime, everything seems fine until someone moves. Then we suddenly see the lines. We want to deliver in 720p. There is obviously a problem exporting from Final Cut to Quicktime. How do we change the workflow from 1080i to 720p?

Please help!

So im guessing we should continue to steer clear of this one too? arghh!
