Export OMF from FCP to AVID?

I have to cut something at home on FCP 6.0.3 and load it into an existing AVID project to show some studio-types. Is it possible to export an OMF out of FCP and import it into AVID (Adrenaline?)

FCP doesn't have the ability to export video OMFs. It can do Audio OMFs only. For video you would need Automatic Duck, a product used by many here and elsewhere.

Do you plan on editing it further in AVID or just dumping in the project for the purposes of the screening?

Actually, this is great. I have the same material in AVID as I do FCP so an audio omf is perfect because I'm not planning on changing picture if I can avoid it. Thanks!

Don't forget to test your method before the big screening. There is a 2GB file size limit still hanging around in the OMF spec so ensure that the whole process works before you bet the farm on it.
