Photo clip length

Hi! I am creating a simple slide show of photos using final cut time line. The clip lengths are automatically set at 10 seconds. How can I change this automatic setting so I don't have to manually go and change the clip lengths each time I add a photo?

User Preferences>Editing>Still/freeze Duration

That preference applies only when you first import the stills. Either re-import the stills for it to kick in, or put all the stills into a blank timeline, CONTROL-click on them and choose Duration, enter the desired duration, then drag them back into a bin.

Note that won't work from the keyboard with more than one clip highlighted, but does from the contexual menu. Never understood why.

Set your customized window layout 1 or 2 by holding Option then click
Window menu>Arrange>and select Set Custom Layout 1 or 2 !

Then use Custom Layout 1 or 2 with Shift-U or Option-U !
