I want to output video playback from my DVCproHD 24p timeline to a TV Monitor hooked to my DV Deck. I'm only succeeding if I set the timeline to 29.97fps, but that gives me audio sync problems. If I play directly from a 24p timeline, all I get are single frames, even though I've checked for sure that External Video is set to All frames.

Is it possible at all to output 24p directly through a DV Deck, or is it my deck in particular? It's a JVC SR-VS30

Thanks

P

What Mac do you have?

A DVI-D to HDMI cable running from the Mac to an HD TV should work.

I have a 42" Plasma hooked up this way.

You will also need to hook up the audio output from the mac to the HD TV via optical SPDIF if the TV has an SPDIF In

or via 3.5mm Stereo Jack to 2 RCA Phono lead.

good point ben! i totally forgot that i have my optoma hd projector doing that same task.

only downside is that becomes your second monitor - which for many uses is kinda not the best.
