Recommended sources for HD stock footage?

I hope this isn't out of bounds for this forum. I was wondering if y'all have any favorite sources for HD stock footage. Right now I'm looking for something specific ? a close-up shot of a mixing console or piece of audio equipment or something suitable for use as the background during one of those "9-1-1 tape" sequences ? but I'm in the market for a good supplier for the future as well.

I've worked with Getty before, and have no specific complaints, but I'm open to new ideas, if anybody has any.

Have a look at Footage Firm. They have frequent offers of "free" collections (just costs $8.50 or so for shipping).

There's an article and a detailed chart on stock footage sources in the current DV.com.

I had a very good experience at Sony. Believe it or not, they are not overpriced and have fantastic stuff of unused takes of the entire Sony library. Really beautifull lit stuff shot by world class cinematographers.

I needed shots of police dogs and their handlers at night tracking down a criminal and also the "press" side of a big news conference. They supplied a whole bunch of shots - some from Spiderman - for $1000.

I did play the "poor independent film-maker" card.

I've had a pretty good response to the stock footage site I launched last year:

https://www.UnlimitedStockMedia.com

You can have unlimited access to the clips for a low price.

I didn't see it mentioned: Pond5.com seems to have a lot stock footage. Prices vary widely depending on the quality you want. . . . . Scott

Try Videoblocks.com. They had a great special a week or so ago. Lots of good footage both HDV and DV.

So this is a blatant flogging of our own stock footage library, (www.hdstockfootage.net) but it's all HD and from a variety of countries. Everyone here has been very kind to help me with the various issues I run into in FCP, so I hope this may help you-all. Free downloadable comps and all the clips can be downloaded upon purchase.
